Ryan received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas Little Rock in 2012.  After teaching at a university in China, he settled in Texas in 2014.  Since 2015 he has devoted his career to helping indigent clients in the criminal justice system, first as a private appointed counsel, then as a public defender, and finally working with the CAFA program for CAPDS.
